The Parker Water and Sanitation District is sponsoring their annual Xeriscape Garden Contest in Parker. If you are using water wise gardening concepts in your yard, you can win prizes and bragging rights this summer. Mail, drop-off or e-mail a color photo of your Xeriscaped yard to 19801 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80134 or email cmiller@pwsd.org by June 25, 2010.
Judges will consider:
- water use
- attractiveness
- upkeep
- creative use of Xeriscape plants
- creative use of Xeriscape techniques.
Parker residents are asked to do your part and conserve water by following the water schedule and no watering on Friday’s.
If you address end with an odd number your watering days are Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, even numbered addresses water on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Multi Family, HOA and commercial properties are asked to water Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Please stop by the district office and pick up your free packed of xeric Zinnia seeds, water conserving showerheads, faucet aerators and shower timers.
