The Spirit Program is holding their Spring Mini  and Junior Mustangs Camp on January 17 – 18, 2011 at Ponderosa High School.

The cost is $45 and will include the following schedule:

Monday 1/17/11
8:00a – Registration
8:30a – 1p – Mini/Jr. Mustang Camp @ PHS
(Lunch and snacks included)

Tuesday, 1/18/11
6p – 7:00p – Dress Rehearsal @ PHS
7p – 8p Performance at Boys Basketball Game vs. Mountain Vista
(Minis will receive a Tshirt & Pom Poms!)

This is a really fun event for the kids, both of my daughters did this and absolutely loved the experience. I highly recommend checking it out!

Kidz Kulture – Rainforests

Learn about Animals and their Habitat with Kidz Kulture – Rainforests

School is back in session and so is Kidz Kulture! Parents and children of all ages are invited to the Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet, on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for a free Kidz Kulture event.

A special guest speaker will talk about the animals of the rainforests and their fascinating habitat. Then the Parker Artists Guild will end with an exciting child/parent craft project based on what has been learned.

Kidz Kulture is a free event, but pre-registration is requested. Guardians are required to stay with children through the entire program. Go to ParkerRec.com to register or call Kelly Kuper at 303.434.1560.

Spanish Enrichment classes for kids in Parker CO

Studies have shown that when children are exposed to a foreign language at an early age, they can absorb the information better. The Parker Mainstreet Center is offering an opportunity for kids ages 4 to 6 to participate in just such a Spanish Enrichment® journey with a native Spanish speaking instructor.

The six-week class runs:
September 2 through October 7, 2010 &
October 14 through November 18, 2010.

“Through interactive exercises, story-time, songs and games, children will learn basic Spanish vocabulary, including vowels, colors, animals, seasons and more.”

Slithery Slimy Fun at the Parker Recreation Center Parker CO

Hey, kids, have you ever wanted to get up-close with live frogs, salamanders, lizards and turtles? Here’s your chance! Join Parker Recreation for the Slithery Slimy class on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave.

Kids ages 4 to 7 years old will enjoy mini experiments, hands-on activities and observation to learn the difference between amphibians and reptiles. With help from Naturalist Pam Batton, children will also discover how these fascinating creatures move, eat and protect themselves.
