Spanish Enrichment classes for kids in Parker CO
Posted by: | CommentsStudies have shown that when children are exposed to a foreign language at an early age, they can absorb the information better. The Parker Mainstreet Center is offering an opportunity for kids ages 4 to 6 to participate in just such a Spanish Enrichment® journey with a native Spanish speaking instructor.
The six-week class runs:
September 2 through October 7, 2010 &
October 14 through November 18, 2010.
Thursdays from 1- 1:45 p.m.

“Through interactive exercises, story-time, songs and games, children will learn basic Spanish vocabulary, including vowels, colors, animals, seasons and more.”
Fees for this program are $65 for Parker residents and $75 for non-residents.

Slithery Slimy Fun at the Parker Recreation Center Parker CO

Hey, kids, have you ever wanted to get up-close with live frogs, salamanders, lizards and turtles? Here’s your chance! Join Parker Recreation for the Slithery Slimy class on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave.
Kids ages 4 to 7 years old will enjoy mini experiments, hands-on activities and observation to learn the difference between amphibians and reptiles. With help from Naturalist Pam Batton, children will also discover how these fascinating creatures move, eat and protect themselves.

Movie and a Milkshake at the Wildlife Experience Parker Colorado

Parents night out, kids night in with a movie and a milkshake. The best old time fun you’ll have all summer and educatiional too.
A parents night out while your kids are safe, learning about the current exhibits during the tour by the museum staff of the current exhibits and happy getting dinner, drinking a yummy milkshake while watching a great kids on the giant screen IMAX theater at the Wildlife Experience Museum in Parker.

- Some Like it Hot-Wet-Cold-Dry
Time: 5-8 p.m.
Ages: 5-10 years
Cost: $15 members, $18 non-members

You may substitute a different date for the same program if there is space available for a small fee. If you are unable to attend, please consider your payment a tax-deductible donation. Registration is required by the Monday prior to the event.

The entrance and parking for the museum are around back. Season and family tickets can be purchased over the phone or in person and are well worth the money.
