The Best Things in Life are Free!

Posted by: Ask Chrissy | Comments (0)

Parker Chamber Picture show is FREE and FUN for your family… TONIGHT!

Remember back to yesteryear when we would all pile in a car and go to the drive in movies?  Mom would make up a huge bag of popcorn and we’d each have our own brown trash bag full, we’d bring a six pack of pop and other munchies and still beg to go to the concession stand just for the adventure of seeing all the candy that was ONLY available there.. I was addicted to those Chocolate aka plastic blogs in a tube called FLICKS I think.  Anyway…. Drive in movies were the best part of summer when I was growing up… and the Parker Chamber Picture show is very reminiscent of those “happy days”.

This was at the last movie “Journey to the Center of the Earth” We arrived at 7:00 thinking that noone would be there yet, and here was the crowd already.  The guy who runs the thing gets up and talks a little about the event, the sponsors, current happenings in Parker.

Here you can see the blow up screen just in front of the gazebo at O’brien Park.  I’m only 5’2″ and I’m sitting pretty far back.. (behind the first set of big trees) and as you can see I have a great view.. there really are NO bad seats.

Anna Palmore- the Membership Coordinator for the Parker Chamber of Commerce and Lisa Peterson – The Office Administrator were both there staffing the popcorn, candy, pop and glow light booth.  I think the most expensive thing for sale are the glow sticks… the popcorn candy and pop are all $1 dollar each.. yes that’s right Concessions for a buck!

So if you want to step back into “The Good Old Days” I recommend this free Parker Chamber event highly!

You still have three more chances this season…
