The Nutcracker of Parker 2010 at Chaparral High School

Parker Nutcracker by the Parker Colorado School of Dance

The Colorado School of Dance is once again presenting “The Nutcracker” a Parker Family Tradition to Parker Families this Holiday Season.

The Nutcracker Ballet is double cast to allow more children the opportunity to dance in this classic Christmas story and the casts for both shows are shown here.

There are four performances of “The Nutcracker” and tickets may be purchased in advance online here.

Saturday, December 18, 2010 (Cast A Performance)

Sunday, December 19, 2010 (Cast B Performance)

Zumba Classes offered at the Parker Recreation

Join the Zumba party at the Parker Recreation Center!

Another fun and energetic session of the Zumba® program is being offered on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. starting Nov. 3 through Dec. 1 at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 Lincoln Ave.

Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked.

Zumba fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate!

The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got a Zumba class!

Do you love to Sing and Dance? Need to just let loose for a night?

Well now you can, right here in your own backyard. There are multiple shows that offer Karaoke and dancing for every style of listener. Anything from Country, Rock, Oldies, Alternative and today’s hits can be found at these shows.

David Taylor Dance Theatre

The Parker Cultural Commission and David Taylor Dance Theater present an evening of diverse work featuring world class choreographers. Don’t miss this exciting and rare opportunity to see Denver’s most exciting contemporary ballet company in Parker for two nights only – Jan. 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Local dancers from Parker Dance will also be featured in the performance at the Parker Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet.
