Parker Parks and Recreation offers several youth programs to stay active over the summer months.
Don’t be BORED this summer
There is something for all ages and interests including Parker Fitness Academy, Teen N Tone and Kids’ Triathlon Training, all beginning in June.
Parker Fitness Academy
Perfect for kids ages 8 to 11 that want to move, laugh and have fun.
This fitness class puts an emphasis on making exercise enjoyable so that children will want to make it a part of their everyday lives. Class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave., beginning June 12. A 12-class session is $60 for Parker residents and $65 for non-residents.
Girls only Teen N Tone
Designed specifically designed to get ages 12 to 15 years off the couch and physically fit with a comfortable and supportive peer group. We will focus on fitness, healthy lifestyles and self-esteem on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. beginning June 11. This 12-class program is $60 for Parker residents and $65 for non-residents.
Kids’Try-athon
Get ready for the Kids’ TRY-athlon coming up on Aug. 4! Ages 6 to 12 years will have fun learning about swimming, biking, running and transitions in Kids’ Triathlon Training. Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. beginning June 25. The cost for a six-week session is $60 for Parker residents and $65 for non-residents.
