Hey, kids, have you ever wanted to get up-close with live frogs, salamanders, lizards and turtles? Here’s your chance! Join Parker Recreation for the Slithery Slimy class on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave.
Kids ages 4 to 7 years old will enjoy mini experiments, hands-on activities and observation to learn the difference between amphibians and reptiles. With help from Naturalist Pam Batton, children will also discover how these fascinating creatures move, eat and protect themselves.
Register for the Slithery Slimy class online at ParkerRec.com. Fees for this class are $18 for Parker residents and $20 for non-residents. For additional information about Kids Zone programs, please contact Diane Lange at dlange@parkeronline.org or call 303.841.4500.
