  1. Armondos in Parker is my favorite place for Italian. Great service, nice atmosphere, amazing food and thier prices are reasonable. If your timing is good you may even hear singing from the staff although it's not on the menu.

  2. Eric Olsen says:

My favorite place is Crave, an amazingly unique burger place, which is near the AMC movie theater in Castle Rock. Crave is also owned by the same person who owns the Old Stone Church. Either of these places are deserving of a review.

    • I have heard of Crave.. might have to check that out this weekend. Thanks for the recommendation Eric.

Eric I finally went to Crave and I'm completely obsessed with it. WOW what an amazing burger. I sould have gone sooner!!

  3. Jen D. says:

Does anyone have a favorite breakfast place in Parker?

  4. A newly discovered place for us on the weekend was Takoda Tavern. I had a Breakfast quesadilla huge and awesome! and the hubby had an omlette… it's really nice now that the weather is warming up you can sit out on that patio and take in that glorious view of Pikes Peak and the Rockies. If you haven't discovered Posh Pastries yet.. that's also a favorite.. go there grab a pastry and a coffee there or at Fica/Kunjani/Starbucks.

  5. Please try the Stonegate Cafe, awesome french toast and very reasonable prices. They have a large variety of items on the menu and serve breakfast all day. Opa Grill – not so good, soggy fries, overcooked veggies and the Gyros meat was squishy, was very disappointed. We enjoy having a beer out on Friday nights, have given up on FuNuGyz, the most horrible service, the wait staff is more interested in flirting with regulars than giving good service. I was there once when the manager and the wait staff were running around throwing ice and sticking it in each others shirts, real mature. There free buffet on Fridays used to be eatable but has gotten horrible too. Stay away.

    • I haven't been to the Stonegate Cafe yet but I hear good things.. that spot seems to be extremely hard on restaurants with no real parking in front and no visibility. The best Gyros in town are on Sunday mornings at the Farmers Market. Nicky's Quicky's… All organic cooked to order.. fantabulous!

  6. Have you ever been to Rosie's in Glenwood Springs. A cottage atmosphere that I think would be welcomed in Parker. They have a wonderful bakery too. Serve only breakfast and lunch German style menu. It's sad to see two restaurants side by side still vacant on Lincoln. Why the lack of business in Parker? We love to go out for a good lunch, reasonable prices, with quality food and service.

    • We are often in Glenwood but haven't been to Rosie's. Rosie's Diner in Monument is a great greasy spoon kinda place that's a little closer to home. We sure wish that an actual DINER had gone into the Victorian Peaks building instead of the many failed Italian restaurants.

For lunch in Parker I recommend Portofino's, Casa Mariachi, Tequila Joe's, Guadalajara, The Tailgate (Yes it's a bar but they have a great cook) Indochine, August Moon.

I don't think the closing of the two restaurants had as much to do with Parker as with the economy and the restaurants themselves, and that that corner could really only support one of those same types of chain restaurants. I try to frequent the locally owned spots over the chain restaurants to support our local economy.

I hope and pray for Breakfast Queen II off of Broadway to open a place a little further south. They have THE BEST breakfast burrito's possibly in the world. Check um out on Broadway just North of Hampden. A true diner always top 5 on the Channel 7 A-List and locally owned by Greek brothers.

We like Egg and I for Sunday breakfast. Fresh food prepared well.

Maybe I should try it again Marcia.. As you know we mostly go to Starbucks on the weekend for "Breakfast".
