On May 7, Mayor David Casiano declared May 13 through 19 as Police Week in the Town of Parker.
The Town and its residents salute the service of law enforcement officers in our community and in communities across the nation.
National Police Week recognizes the service and sacrifice of U.S. Law Enforcement. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
During National Police Week the Parker Police Department will be handing out blue ribbons. Citizens are encouraged to show their support for law enforcement by displaying the blue ribbons on their cars and/or clothing. Blue ribbons can be picked up at various Town buildings including Town Hall, Parker Recreation Center and the Parker Police Department.
