Parker Recreation now offers a swim lesson program specifically for home school children on Mondays from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave. All ages and levels are welcome. The home school swim class is $40 per month and you can register by calling Sybil Penrose at 303.805.3282.
The recreation center also offers classes for more seasoned swimming enthusiasts. Kids’ Swim Conditioning is for experienced swimmers ages 6 to 14 that want to improve endurance, form and efficiency. This class includes drills to enhance arm stroke and leg performance.
Beginning Jan. 2, classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Five-week sessions of Swim Conditioning are $60 for Parker residents and $63 for non-residents. Register online at www.ParkerRec.com or contact Sybil at 303.805.3282.
