The Parker Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect in a series of home burglaries earlier in December. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Gregory Phillip Casias (DOB 2.21.1963) for Robbery, 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Burglary, Felony Theft, Criminal Mischief and several other related crimes. The bond for the warrant is $250,000 due to the criminal history and potentially violent nature of Casias. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Casias.
On Dec. 17 a residential burglary occurred in the Bell Cross Estates subdivision in unincorporated Douglas County. Later on the same date, a homeowner in the Quail Ridge Estates subdivision in Parker confronted a man who had broken into his home. The suspect threatened to stab the homeowner with a knife (however, no weapons were seen) and then fled the scene on foot. The homeowner discovered that numerous items of jewelry were stolen from his home. Police later responded to another burglary in the Quail Ridge Estates subdivision. It was also discovered that jewelry had been stolen. The third burglary was approximately one block from the house where the homeowner had recently confronted the burglar.
Through the investigation of the DCSO Pattern Crimes Unit and the Parker Police Department, Casias was identified as the suspect.
