My name is Mark Lane and I am honored to be running for the Parker Town Council.
I
worked for an industrial lighting company as a sales manager for 13 years. As with many companies in this tough economy, the business shut down a little over a year ago. Knowing that this set back would open wonderful new doors in my life, I looked for business opportunities that would keep me in the Parker area. In October 2011, I opened my first business in the Town of Parker as a Legal Shield representative. Then last summer while my wife and I were having coffee on Mainstreet, we decided that the Town of Parker needed a Pedi cab service. So with a lot of research, my wife Tia and I started Parker Pedi Cab. Yes, that is me on and around Mainstreet giving people rides.
Three years ago, I joined the Metro Parker Small Business Association. Shortly after I joined the MPSBA, they merged with the Parker Chamber of Commerce. As a member of the Chamber, I am an Ambassador and currently a co-leader of the Twenty Mile Leads Group. As a volunteer with the Chamber, I am able to be a mentor to start up companies and help existing companies make the connections necessary to grow their business.
Promoting small town feel while promoting new business growth.
As your next councilman, I will fight to protect the small town feel of our community while promoting new business growth. I will say no when an initiative isn’t in the best interest for the residents of Parker. I am a conservative who will make sure that the Town of Parker always has a balanced budget while not raising taxes. I want to make sure that new businesses along with existing businesses are treated equally and fairly. I desire open communication between the Parker Town Council, the Parker Water Board, the Douglas County Commissioners, the police and sheriff departments, the fire department and most importantly the residents and businesses that make up the Town of Parker.
My name is Mark Lane and I would be honored to serve as your Parker Town Councilman. I would appreciate your vote.
