Mayor’s Tree Lighting November 23, 2012
Festivities start at 5 p.m. the mayor flips the switch at 6 p.m.
Bundle up and bring your family and friends to kick-off the holiday season at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting on Friday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. in O’Brien Park. Experience an exciting medley of the “Nutcracker of Parker,” by Colorado School of Dance and a special performance from Chaparral High School’s top choir, Con Brio. Then, experience the magic when you join the Mayor, Town Council, Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the Parker Chorale at 6 p.m. for a Town sing-a-long of Silent Night before the grand park lighting.
Save on your holiday shopping this year by picking up your FREE Parker discount card at the “Go to Town” table. Festive concessions including coffee, hot chocolate, cupcakes, roasted nuts and light-up toys and Sinton’s Dairy Eggnog samples will all available for spectators to purchase and enjoy during the show.
Free carriage rides will be available at the park and around downtown Parker starting at 6:30 p.m., provided by the Town and the Parker Chamber of Commerce. Event-goers are encouraged to park in downtown Parker as the O’Brien parking lot will be unavailable due to the event.
