This information is brought to you by the Town of Parker

Join your neighbors and head to downtown Parker for the Town’s annual Independence Day event, Let Freedom Sing, featuring the Red White and Brew MusicFest presented by the Downtown Development Council. The event will be on Saturday, July 4 from 2 to 10 p.m. and is set to be bigger and better than ever!

Bring blankets or lawn chairs and get ready to enjoy plenty of family fun including: bounce houses, a backyard slide, face painters, temporary tattoo artists, balloon artists, craft vendors and live music. The musicfest kicks off with:

  • Ash Ganley Band 2 p.m.
  • Gretchen Troop Band at 3:15 p.m.
  • Olachi at 4:30 p.m.

Then we should all be excited for local favorite Wendy Woo, who will headline from 6 to 8 p.m.! (Where were you for Parker Days Wendy?? Missed YOU!)

Patriotic inspiration will be in the air at 8:30 p.m. with the sounds of rousing Sousa marches and other instrumental tunes by Rocky Mountain Brassworks. The suspense will grow as the crowd awaits the thrilling fireworks display, which will begin at dusk and commemorate the land of the free with a bang!

Event-goers are welcome to bring a picnic, but concessions will be provided including hot dogs, BBQ, pizza, burgers, kettle corn, ice cream and other snacks. No outside alcohol is permitted at the event but a beer garden will be provided by the Downtown Development Council (DDC).

Let Freedom Sing 2009, featuring the Red White and Brew MusicFest will be conveniently located next to Town Hall at 20120 E. Mainstreet in Parker. Parker residents are encouraged to walk or bike to the event and free bike parking will be available at Town Hall. Handicap parking will also be available at Town Hall; which can be accessed via the Pine Drive entrance. Open parking will be available at Parker Station, located at 19751 E. Mainstreet, and the Mainstreet Center at 19650 E. Mainstreet.

Event admission is free. Pine Drive will be closed from Mainstreet to Summerset starting at 8:45 p.m. for the public’s protection from the fireworks display shot from the Pine Drive Curve. We were told there is something musical going on in Parker on Sunday, July 5. Where would we get information about that.

Most likely there is a band or a few different musical things going on at the ParkerFest in Old Town Parker on Mainstreet. That event is every Sunday from 9-2 and the music usually happens in the stage area by the Parker Station Building.
