If you’ve been wondering when you could go and explore that new big rusty building on Mainstreet, Saturday is the time.

Prior to the opening celebration, Freenotes founder, Richard Cooke has led a class in musical improvisation with students from Parker area high schools.  From this class, several students were selected to perform with Cooke at the PACE Center Open House.

This interactive musical park will consist of eight instruments on the east patio of the PACE Center grounds wrapped inside of the artistic punched rusted iron treatment that appears throughout the Center.  For musicians and non-musicians alike, the Freenotes collection is a permanent, interactive art exhibit to celebrate music and the arts outside of the PACE Center, as well as inside.

The Open House will be held on October 22, 2011, from 10a.m. – 2p.m. The Freenotes musical instruments are available for all to play, before and after the performance of Cooke and the local students.

This is the first harmony park in the greater Denver Metro area.

  1. My daughter and I went and played in the Harmony Park today… it was fantastic! Can't wait to see what a group that knows what it's doing sounds like.
