Parker Recreation continues to offer fencing opportunities to beginners and experienced fencers!
Progressive classes build on previous experience and are developed for progressing skill levels.
Participants ages 8 through 16 can learn the mental and physical Olympic sport of Fencing through the Fencing Academy’s team of outstanding coaches! This unique sport teaches competition, respect, and self-discipline in a safe and fun environment.
June 11- August 13, 2013
Progressive Fencing Instruction taught by former US Olympic Fencing team member Tom Strzalkowki runs June 11 to Aug. 13 and builds on fundamental fencing skills and techniques.
5 Day Fencing Academy
July 15 – 19, 2013
The five-day Fencing Academy for participants of all skill levels will be held July 15 to 19 at the Mainstreet Center. Academy coaches will provide level-appropriate instruction for all progressive fencers.
June 22, 2013 9-4 p.m.
A Fencing Day Camp for beginners will be held June 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mainstreet Center. Participants will understand the fundamentals of fencing after one full day of practice with special guest Olympic Coach Maestro Wes Glon.
Classes will be held at the Recreation Center or Mainstreet Center and the use of all equipment is included in the class fee.
