New this fall is our unique and educational Drum Circle class. Parker Parks and Recreation partners with RhythmVision to bring you a class for individuals ages 15 and older at the Recreation Center. This class offers participants the chance to express themselves through music while building important skill sets. Students not only build self esteem but also learn cooperation and collaboration, communication, critical thinking, leadership and rhythmic and musical awareness. This class is great for music lovers of all abilities! All instruments are provided by the instructor and advance enrollment is required.
Therapeutic Recreation Small Group/One-on-One Sessions are also new this fall and help those who need a little extra attention. These one-hour sessions can be held at any of our facilities, parks or trails and are tailored specifically to meet the individual needs of the participant.
Don’t miss our fall dance series Nov. 11 and Dec. 9. Dances are held either at the Mainstreet Center or Recreation Center and run from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy themed refreshments, music and have a great time with friends and meeting new people!
