Handel’s Messiah will be performed during the church services on
Sunday December 5, 2010 at 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. at the Parker United Methodist Church
Community Rehersals: Wednesday December 1, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday December 4, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. You do not need to be present at both rehersals to participate, just talk to Kurt Strohman the director and let him know.
All ages and vocal abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate! The choir is supported by the large choir from the Parker United Methodist Church but the director, Kurt Stroman, welcomes any and all community members that would like to be a part.
Kurt says “you don’t have to have a perfect voice or know the piece by heart, you just need to love to sing and want to join in the experience of putting your voice with 80 other souls and an orchestra and let God do the rest.”
If you have your own copy of the Schirmer score of “The Messiah” you are asked to bring it, otherwise there will be copies to purchase or use available at the first rehearsal.
