Parker Public Safety Youth Council
The Parker Police Department is excited to announce the new Parker Public Safety Youth Council and we need your help!
The Parker Public Safety Youth Council will be a partnership between the Parker Police Department and the youth of Parker. The program will be designed to bridge the gap between Parker youth and the Police Department by providing direct access to members of the Office of the Chief of Police.
The goals of the program include:
-Foster a trusted relationship between law enforcement and the
-Enhanced youth diversion program efforts
-Enhanced public safety education
-Enhanced communication strategies
-Strategic Plan modification
-Create a Teen Police Citizen’s Academy
We are currently recruiting individuals that can help us reach out to the youth of the Parker community. These individuals may be teachers, sports coaches, church leaders or others that interact with Parker youth. If you would like to help select students who will collaborate with law enforcement on a variety of topics, please feel out the below form.
The Youth Council will operate in cooperation with Parker area schools, churches and youth groups for youth between 8th and 12th grade. When the council is first launched meetings will be held monthly. Once the program has been established they will be every other month or quarterly.
