The recently opened “Little Flower Shop” in Larkspur is concealing some serious treasures.THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP LARKSPUR COLORADO

Inside The Litte Flower Shop is a petite boutique that claims to be a bit like the telephone booth on “Dr. Who.” It’s bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Seven local Denver area & Larkspur artists and artisans have converged into a splattering of paintings, hand-cut glass, darling little girls clothing, unique Colorado pine log creations (candleholders and more) jewelry and a a touch of home made music.  The boutique motto is “Think outside the box”.

Each artist delights in creating one-of-a-kind treasures and will work with the customer to create the perfect gift.  The owner, Christa Mason, is a bit out of the box herself, well, you’ll see.   She’s offering gift-wrapping and shipping services, provided the customer give a bit of advanced notice.  Gift-wrapping is actually free with orders over $100 – and occasionally she says, on a whim.
Saturday, March 27th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitors will have a bit of stone education with samplings of fun and whimsical jewelry as Steve “the Stone Man” comes to chat about the many natural stones in his collection.  He’ll also show how wire-wrapping is done and of course, there’ll be jewelry.   Some serious, some fun, but if you’re the creative type, don’t fear – if you don’t see it there, he’ll be happy to take your ideas and make it for you!  This is the perfect place to shop for unique gifts for upcoming weddings, birthdays, Mother’s Day and even a few things the man in your life might enjoy. Jewelry prices start at $20.

For the Kids

• Complimentary Nutritional Treats from our friends at Juice Plus
• Sand Stone Search – $4.00
• Create Your Own Natural Stone Bracelet – $4.00
• Face Painting

See the boutique website www.simplylovedgifts.com for more information or call at 303-507-5380.

5280 Week in the Denver metro area is one that food lovers wait for all year long.  Local area restaurants serve scrumptious, mouth watering cuisine for the outrageously inexpensive price of $52.80 for two.

This often even includes wine and dessert.  For those of you that may be new to the Denver Metro area and aren’t familiar with what the significance of 5280 is… Denver is The Mile High City and is 5280 feet above sea level.

Last year to help out the local economy the organizers of Denver Restaurant Week decided to hold it over for an additional week with only a small portion of the restaurants participating in the second week. In 2010, Denver Restaurant Week will be held for two weeks, from February 20 – March 5, 2010.

You can search the Denver Restaurant website by cuisine, location or name here.

Douglas County DivasThe labor of love by three “go getters” in the Douglas County area, Douglas County Diva’s is having it’s kickoff networking event this Wednesday, January 20th 2010 at the Siena Restaurant in Castle Rock CO.  Pam Anderson of Larkspur Colorado has been a successful business owner for years and hadn’t been able to find many resources for networking for women in the South Denver area, so she along with Heidi Mendoza and her daughter Theresa Buckley decided to start a women’s networking group. Douglas County Diva’s is meant to serve as a networking and mentoring resource for all women, mom’s, teachers, wives, daughters, sisters along with women business owners.  The group will also be a place for women that are interested in starting a business to get support  and resources from other women that have “walked the mile” and can share their wisdom and creativity that is uniquely for women.

Douglas County Divas – A free fun networking event providing a positive atmosphere for women to connect and gain exposure for their business and create relationships for the future.
