Citron Bistro a 5280 Denver Restaurant Week Night on the Town
Posted by: | Comments
Citron Bistro is a Greek inspired with Executive Chef Andy Martinez in the kitchen creating magic for your palette with his unique take on traditional and Greek cuisine.
Restauranteurs George Karas and Tom Karantounis took the building that formerly housed Marie Calendars and created a beautiful relaxing oasis of a mix of rustic brick, hardwood floors and modern colors for a dining atmosphere to enjoy world foods with Mediterranean, Southwestern and American influences, a glass of wine, or share their amazing signature dessert, a Creme Brulee’ Napoleon. (pictured at left)
Their 5280 menu was quite varied and the quantity of food you received was outstanding.

Posted by: | Comments5280 Week in the Denver metro area is one that food lovers wait for all year long.
Local area restaurants serve scrumptious, mouth watering cuisine for the outrageously inexpensive price of $52.80 for two. This often even includes wine and dessert. For those of you that may be new to the Denver Metro area and aren’t familiar with what the significance of 5280 is… Denver is The Mile High City and is 5280 feet above sea level.
Last year to help out the local economy the organizers of Denver Restaurant Week decided to hold it over for an additional week with only a small portion of the restaurants participating in the second week. In 2010, Denver Restaurant Week will be held for two weeks, from February 20 – March 5, 2010.
You can search the Denver Restaurant website by cuisine, location or name here.

Parker Colorado Teen Court
Posted by: | CommentsTeen Court Orientation to be Held on Feb. 24
Have you heard about Parker’s Teen Court? This exciting program has been serving the Parker community for five years. An orientation for the Teen Court program will be held on Feb. 24 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Interested teens are encouraged to attend and parents are welcome! The orientation will be held at Parker Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet. Teen Court applications are available online at www.parkeronline.org.
Teen Court provides Parker youth with an opportunity to get involved with the court system and earn community service hours. The Parker Teen Court was started in an effort to involve youth in Parker in the judicial process while offering appropriate sentencing for juvenile offenders. This community-based program was designed to hold first-time juvenile misdemeanor offenders accountable, while also providing a positive and educational experience through peer mentoring.
The program is currently accepting youth who are interested in volunteering to serve as jurors, bailiffs and attorneys. To serve as a teen attorney for the program, you must be at least 14 years old. All other positions are open to youth 12 to 17 years old. Teens can use time volunteered in Court toward mandatory community service hours for graduation, honor societies, a job resume or a college application.
Teen Court sessions are generally held Wednesday or Thursday evenings during the year. The time commitment is as little as one evening per month. Training sessions are held twice a year with additional advanced training sessions held throughout the year to improve performance.
The cases heard in Teen Court are real. Some of the charges that participants may hear include: assault, destruction of property, disorderly conduct, fireworks, littering, petty theft, possession of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and shoplifting. Teen Court does not consider traffic offenses.
