Children 3 to 6 years will have non-stop fun in the Kids Zone with Parker Recreation’s Sunshine Time program

Take some time for yourself and the talented staff of the Parker Rec will entertain the kiddos!

We’ll make new friends, wake up our muscles in the gym with sports and games, and we’ll jump in the pool for some water play. The program will end with a wind-down story and snack time.

Kids ages 3 to 8 will play super games, eat super snacks and may even get to meet some of their favorite big superheroes. The extravaganza is only $34 for Parker residents and $39 for non-residents, which reflects the cost for one child and one adult. Additional children and adults are welcome for $10 per person.

The emphasis on this position will be assisting with the marketing, planning, coordination, execution and evaluation of events, including summer concerts, Independence Day Celebration Event and outdoor movie nights. In addition, the intern will assist with office administration and organization, research projects and writing, and other related duties and/or responsibilities assigned or requested.

  • Assist with event planning and management, including correspondence, production of event materials, development of event packets, schedules, etc.
  • Develop event materials.

  • Assist with the management of event logistics, including activities coordination, load in and load out, coordinate volunteers and risk management.

  • Assist with event promotion and communication, including the development of marketing materials.

The Town of Castle Rock just released the slate of candidates for April’s Town Council election has been set.

The candidates for Castle Rock Town Council are:

    Friday marked the deadline for prospective candidates to turn in the necessary paperwork.

    The Councilmembers elected will serve four-year terms and will be paid a monthly stipend of $650.

    The 2012 election will occur by mail. Ballots will go out to active registered voters in mid-March.

    There are no Townwide issues on the ballot, so voters who do not live in one of the districts electing a Council member will not receive a ballot. Voters within this year’s voting districts who do not receive a ballot, or who need their ballot mailed to an address other than the one at which they are registered, should call the Town Clerk’s Office, 303-660-1367.
