Parker residents just love their dogs and the Town of Parker is here to help. Barker Days is here again, an opportunity to spend the day with your dog at the park and the pool. This highly anticipated celebration of dogs is happening as O’Brien Park ball field and the H2O’brien pool are turned over to the dogs as a temporary dog park and doggie dipping pond.

Fee: $5 residents per dog $7 non-residents per dog their accompanying humans are free.

Dogs (and their humans) who pre-register will have expedited check in and receive a “doggie bag” of treats, courtesy of local businesses. For additional event information, call Meagan Parker Recreation Center at 303.841.4500 or email mnakashima@parkeronline.org.
Kids are welcome at the event however all dogs MUST have an adult present. (18 or older)
The event includes:
- - Dog Demonstrations
- - Doggie paddle in the neutralized, dog-only pool
- - Chase balls and frisbees in the baseball fields
- - Enter speed and trick contests
- - Check out the agility course and demonstrations
- - Little guys can romp in the small dog play area
- - Rub noses with local, dog-friendly businesses
H2O’brien pool will have been closed for the season to humans and all chemicals neutralized so that it’s now dog-friendly. Even if you don’t have a dog, watching the happy splashing dogs in the pool is a treat for everyone.
A separate play area will be provided for small dogs under 25 pounds that prefer to play with friends their own size.
Please read all the rules below to make this a safe event for all dogs, kids and dog owners.
“In order to ensure a fun and safe event, owners are asked to follow certain guidelines at the event.”
All dogs must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
- Please, no more than two dogs per adult.
- Kids are welcome at the event, but may not be solely responsible for any dog and should be closely supervised.
- Dogs must wear a current rabies tag and ID tag at all times.
- Dogs are able to run freely within event boundaries, but it is important to keep a watchful eye on your dog.
- Owners are liable for their pets’ behavior and are responsible for keeping their dogs under control and within event boundaries.
- Leashes are required outside of the fenced event area and should be kept handy at all times.
- Owners are responsible for picking up after their own dogs; disposable bags will be provided.
- Dogs in heat, puppies under four months or who have not had final shots, aggressive dogs and dogs who are sick may not attend. The owner of any dog displaying mounting behavior must immediately leash and remove the dog from the situation.
- Owners are liable for their pets and are responsible for keeping their dogs within event boundaries.
