Arbor Day in Parker
ByPlant a tree!
Parker is celebrating Arbor Day on Saturday, April 25 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Stroh Ranch Soccer Park located at Stroh and Motsenbocker roads.
As we all know, tree’s help reduce the effects of pollution, and help to beautify our community.
The Town is looking for volunteers to help plant more than 50 trees of various species. You don’t need to sign-up just show up with a shovel and a pair of gloves. The town is providing donuts for the volunteers.
Town arborists will also be giving tree pruning demonstrations to help residents learn how to take care of their trees. Those who come out to help will receive small plant give-a-ways and Arbor Day memorabilia.
Another incentive for volunteers this year is a “Tool Show and Tell” where the Town will talk about the tools they use to keep the trees healthy.
