Annual National Night Out in Parker Colorado August 7 2010

On Saturday, Aug. 7, neighborhoods throughout Parker are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 27th Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.

From 4 to 8 p.m., Parker residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening at O’Brien Park. Parker’s National Night Out event will be full of fun activities for the entire family. Bring your friends, neighbors, children, blankets and lawn chairs and come support NNO. Participants will enjoy games, jump castles, face painting, child fingerprint identification kits, and vendor booths, as well as Police, Fire and military participation. At dusk, a kid-friendly movie sponsored by the Parker Chamber of Commerce will be shown in the park. This event is sponsored by the Parker Police Department and Target.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organizing and fighting back.
